Observation

Share an observation in neutral terms. This is a basic starting point for many styles of communication, eg "This is what I think I saw, what did you see?" Don't jump to your conclusion: one of my favorite approaches to discussing politics is to require of yourself that you not say your conclusion, just explain the reasons for your conclusion so well that your audience will reach the same.
